a long time, so I put these here for me, and all of you who
are working on the same thing. Good luck building speed!

The bold, black notes and numbers in the diagrams below show which Major scale notes and scale degrees (do, re, mi...) make up each melody.
Scale degree | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | |||||
G Major scale | G | A | B | C | D | E | F# |
This tune has a flurry of notes that make up the melody, so starting at a really slow tempo is key. Also, make sure that you're working on the melody while the chords are playing. I learned the melody long before the chords, and without hearing the chords, the melody notes seem entirely random. Melodies are way easier to find while hearing the chords!
Chord Name | Roman Num. | Chord Notes |
G Major | I | G, B, D |
C Major | IV | C, E, G |
D Major | V | D, F#, A |
E minor | vi | E, G, B |
